What Gochar Actually Compares
Keep moving planetary positions separate from the natal chart they are being compared against.
A transit chart gives the sidereal positions of the moving grahas at a selected moment. Gochar analysis then compares those signs with natal reference points.
Phaladeepika chapter 26 explicitly gives the natal Moon sign a primary role for transit results. This lab therefore always shows house-from-Moon, while also showing the natal whole-sign house from Lagna as a separate structural reference.
The transit positions are astronomical calculations; the favorable-house labels are traditional astrological rules.
Transit analysis begins with a natal reference. First calculate where the graha is now, then count its position from natal Moon or Lagna according to the rule being taught. A transit position by itself is not a life-event prediction.
Keep plain Gochar, Vedha, Ashtakavarga support and transit-to-natal contacts as separate layers. Combining them is a later synthesis step; the Transit Lab labels them separately to prevent accidental mixing.
How to read it
- Choose the transit date/time.
- Read the transiting planet’s sidereal sign/degree.
- Count from natal Moon and Lagna.
- Check the lesson’s base Gochar rule and BAV support.
- Add natal contacts and Dasha context separately.

Do not label a transit as “good/bad” from one house count while ignoring natal condition and timing context.
