Parivartana: detecting an exchange

Identify a real house-lord exchange before interpreting its class.

A Parivartana requires the lord of house A to occupy house B and the lord of house B to occupy house A.

Simply having two planets aspect each other is not a Parivartana.

Because the course uses whole-sign houses, sign exchange and house-lord exchange coincide cleanly in this layer.

Synthesis is where you connect evidence without erasing disagreement. Keep three labels in your notes: calculated fact, traditional rule, and your final cautious synthesis.

When two layers disagree, write the disagreement instead of averaging them into a score. Good chart reading is traceable: another learner should be able to follow your sentence back to the house, planet, Varga or timing evidence that produced it.

STEP BY STEP

How to read it

  1. Write chart facts first.
  2. Apply only named rule profiles.
  3. Group agreeing evidence.
  4. Write tensions/contradictions separately.
  5. Add timing last and use conditional language.
REMEMBER

Key points

  • Fact, rule and synthesis are different layers.
  • Contradictory evidence should remain visible.
  • A transparent chain is more useful than a confidence score.
⚠ Common mistake

Do not hide uncertainty by turning mixed evidence into one numerical rating.

DO IT YOURSELF

Apply this lesson to a chart

  1. Choose one topic in Full Practicum.
  2. Write two calculated facts and one traditional rule separately.
  3. Write one synthesis sentence that cites those facts and includes uncertainty where needed.
