MODULE 7 · LESSON 7.9

Condition of the active Dasha lord

Add dignity, dispositor, conjunctions and aspects after identifying what the period lord activates.

After lordship and placement are mapped, inspect the active Dasha lord’s condition. This course keeps dignity, dispositorship, relationships, combustion profile and aspects as separate evidence rather than one hidden score.

Own-sign or exaltation dignity is one supportive structural condition; debilitation is one challenging condition. Neither should be treated as a complete period verdict.

Conjunctions show which planets share the same sign/house with the Dasha lord. Incoming aspects add further contacts. Keep exact geometry visible before interpreting those relationships.

The dispositor links the active lord to the ruler of the sign it occupies. That planet’s placement can therefore become relevant to understanding how the period’s natal themes are connected.

When evidence conflicts, describe the period as mixed and name the conflict. Do not average unlike factors into an unsupported percentage.

STEP BY STEP

How to read it

  1. Map lordship and placement first.
  2. Check dignity.
  3. Identify dispositor.
  4. List conjunctions and incoming aspects.
  5. Write supportive and challenging evidence separately.
REMEMBER

Key points

  • Condition modifies a period; it does not replace lordship.
  • Dignity is one factor.
  • Contradictory evidence should be stated rather than hidden.
⚠ Common mistake

Do not reduce an entire Mahadasha to “exalted = good” or “debilitated = bad.”

DO IT YOURSELF

Apply this lesson to a chart

  1. Take the current Antardasha lord.
  2. Create two columns: supportive conditions and challenging/mixed conditions.
  3. Write a cautious synthesis using both columns.
✓ CheckpointShould dignity alone decide whether a Dasha is favourable or difficult?
